I'm updating here, with a few things that happened - of course, art related! I'm currently taking an internship prep class - well, it's exactly as mentioned. Had a mock interview and all... the main focus (complaint?) is to work on my perceived confidence.

One task I have to work at is an working illustrator phone/live interview... I'd prefer Jerry Pinkney, but ohh man.

On another matter, there's this neata blog I stumbled upon. I love how her work is, and the posts that she makes. Both art, and relating to the industry and her experiences and thoughts at working towards it, along with tips.  http://976-jjacks.blogspot.com/

The current life drawing project...

We have one more day on this - I'm almost worried that I won't have enough time to finish it, despite the 6 hours of class! I think I've gone far enough with the shadows on the rest of the body -- it's that hair that I've been delaying for as long as I can. As soon as I get over that hump, I can finally get started on adding whites. We've started from a middle gray tone, it's nice to do. Anyhow -

The piece itself is about... 20x25 or so - I know that it's over the required 18x20 size, and all - not sure if I'd cut it down to the required size, or leave it as is. The cast itself that we're working for... well, it's huge. I'd be afraid to be under it when or if it falls. x.x!

My little representation

I created a small version of myself to be identified on my resume - My normal bangstyle, my glasses, a scarf and hoodie, my the colors orange and brown...

Oh, and my ears too! Home, online, and even at school, my main identity consists of my cat attributes, and orange/brown.

On a separate note, I do need to add newer artwork to my portfolio page, as well as life drawing works... On an important note, I really need to redesign the website with the new logo I drew up. It needs to be a bit more popped, yeah?

Our newest project - to create a historical/vintage Parisian poster. Here's my digital comp~. Though simple, it's harder to paint/mix gouache than I thought, let alone on cold press... After breakfast (granted, if I can get outdoors if the weather isn't as terrible as everyone makes it out to be) tomorrow, I'm planning to pick up a few more colors, a few more palette dishes, and some lovely hot press (I do not like the texture of cold!) watercolor paper - and perhaps bristol vellum our teacher suggested.
